RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL QF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE WRITTEN ARGU- lvlENTS FOR CITY MEASURES,
WHEREAS, an election is to be held in the City
of Carlsbad on July 28 1959 , at which
there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said
city the following city measures:
PROPOSITIOM S - SEWER BONDS: Shall the City of Carlsbad incur a bonded indebt&- ness in the principal sum of $1,200,000 for the acquilsition and construction by said city of a certain municipal improvement, to wit: additions to the sanitary sewage eollection, treatment and disposal system of sai including interceptor and trunk sew8 ocean outfall sewer, pumping stations, new sewage treatment plants, addltions to the existing jmeatment plant, and for the fo going appurtenances and works. appurtenan thereto, including the acquisition of aXl . land, easements, rights of way, pipe, pumps, machinery and other property nectessary therefor?
PROPWITION D - STORM DRAIN BONDS: the City of Carlsbad incur a bonded indebted- ness in the principal sum of $155,000 for the acquisition and constrqction by said city of a certain municipal improvement, $0 wit: storm drains with appurtenances and appurtenant work, including the acquisition of land, ease- ments, rlghts of way, apparatus, equipment and other property necessary therefor)?
Shall
PROPOSITION H - STREET IMPROVEfQ3NT BONDS: Shall the City of Carlsbad incur a bonded indebtedness in the prlnclpaa sum of $500,000 to pay a portion of the cost of the acquisi- tion and construction by said city of a certain municipal improvement, to wit: street work and improvements, including grading and the construction or reconstruction of paving, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, drainage facilities and appurtenances and appurtenant work, the opening, widening, extension, align- ment or realignment of streets, the relocation of public utilities, and the aclquisition of land, easements, rights of way, apparatus, equipment and other property necessary for any of the foregoing?
PROPOSITION W - WATER REVGNITIF, BONDS: Shall the City of Carlsbad issue water revenue bonds in the principal sum of $3QO,OOO for the acquisition, construction and financing of extensions, enlargements and improvements of the water system of said city, including works and facilities for the storage, transmission and distribution of water, the reconstruction of parts of said system, and the acquisition of land, easements, rights of way and other property necessary therefor, and including all engineering, inspection and legal fees, costs of the issuance of said revenue bonds, bond reserve funds, and other costs and expenses incfdental to or connected with such acquisi- tion, construction and financing?
PFtOPOSITLON R - SEWER FUND ORDINANCE: Shall the ordinance, the nature of which is stated in the title thereof, to wit:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE SEWER
FUND AND THE PERMISSIBLE USES THEREOF,
be adopted?
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Carls bad, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1, That this City Council, being the
legislative body of the City of Carlsbad , hereby
authorizes

members of said body, to file written arguments for each
of the city measures set forth in the recitals hereof in
accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the
Elections Code of the State of California and to change
said arguments until and including the date fixed by the
City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said
city measures my be submitted to him.
