RESOLUTION NO, 590.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD DECLaRING WEEDS AND TRASH UPON CERTAJX
PROPERTIES TO BE A PUBLIC NUWCE, AND
DESCRIBING SUCH PROPERTY; ORDERLNG THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO ABATE SUCH NUISANCES, SETTING TIME AND PLACE FOR NEARING OF OBJECTIONS TO THE PROPOSED ORDER OF ABATEMENT,
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve as
follows:
1. That the weeds and/or trash located or growing upon the properties
within the City of Carlsbad as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and
made a part hereof as though fully set forth herein, are hereby declared to
be a public nuisance within the City af Carlsbad,
2, That the Public Works Director of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
instructed to abate such nuisances in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 5010-A of the City of Carlsbad.
3. That the City C~~rmcil of the City of Carlsbad shall hold a hearing
at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M, on Tuesday the 3rd day of November, 1959,
at 2960 Pi0 Pica Drive, for the purpose of considering all objections or
protests, if any, to the proposed abatement of the nuisances.
4,. In accordance with the provisions of Section 9 of Ordinance No.
5010-A the Public Works Director is hereby ordered to post a "Notice to
Abate Nuisance" upon all properties affected at least five (5) days prior
to time of hearingj and further that the Public Works Director is ordered
to send post card notices to the owners of affected property, as such owners
appeared on the last equalized assessment roll at least seven (7) days prior
to date of hearing.
5, In the event any of the nuisances herein declared have been abated
to the satisfaction of the Public Warks Director by the voluntary act of the
affected property owners, their agents or employees, prior to the date of
hearing fixed herein, then in such event the Public Works Director is
authorized and directed to delete such abated nuisance from the enforcement
provisions of this resolution and Ordinance No. 5010-A,

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 6th day of October, 1959, by the following vote, to wit
AYES: Councilmen Grober, Sonneman, Ledgerwood and McPherson.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council-woman Coats.
