A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD L PREVAILING RATE
(Assessment District No. 5-1959)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad did upon the 15th
day of December, 1959, adopt plans and specifications for the construction of
sanitary sewers and appurtenances, and appurtenant work in CarkMd Blrv&t,i
from Chinquapin Avenue to Hemlock Avenue. Also Chinquapin Avenue,
Sequoia Avenue, Tamarack Avenue, Redwood Avenue and Hemlock Avenue from
Carlsbad Blvd. to Garfield Street; and
WHEGREAS, this City Council has ascertained the general prevailmg
rate of per diem wages in the locality in which said work is to be performed
and this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate for legal
holiday and overtime work in said locality for each craft or type of workman
needed to execute said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the
locality in which said work is to be performed for each craft or type of
workman needed to execute the contract for said work is determined to be as
follows, to wit:

OVERTIME: of per diem wages shall be paid for overtime work performed on Sundays and legal holidays, as defined in Section 6700 of the California Government Code,
for work performed in excess of eight hours in any one calendar day where
overtime is permitted by law.
In accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and in accordance with the regulations of the California Apprenticeship Council, properly indentured apprentices may be employed in the prosecution of the work.

for bids for said contract and in the contract itself.

1959, by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on
said date, by the following vote, to wit:
