RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,

NO. 608 OF SAID CITY COUNCIL,
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WORK 03

WHEREAS, this City Council, on the 1st day of December, 1959, duly
adopted Resolution No, 608 ordering the following work to be done or improve=
ment to be made, to wit, all that certain work or improvement described in

Resolution No, 603, duly adopted by this City Council on the 20th day of
October, 1959; and
NlIEREAS, pursuant to and in accordance with said Resolution No. 608,
a notice inviting sealed bids or proposals for doing said work or improvement
was ,duly published and posted; and
'WHEREAS, at the hour of 1:00 o'clock P.M., December 14, 1959, at the
Council Chambers of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, 2960 Pi0 Pic0

Drive, Carlsbad, California, all sealed bids or proposals for said work, which 17
were delivered to the City Clerk, were publicly opened, examined and declared 18

by the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk submitted his report of the result of said
bidding to the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on December 15, 1959, the
regular meeting of the City Council next succeeding the date of the opening of
the bids; and
WHEREAS, this City Council finds that said resolutions were duly adopted
and contained the matters and things required by law and that all notices
required by law have been duly given and all hearings required by law duly held

said bids has been duly and regularly taken and that this City Council has duly
acquired jurisdiction;

NOT/J,THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERNINE ANI? ORDER as follows:
Section 1, That this City Council does hereby determine that the bid of

DON HUBBElRD CONTRACTING CO., Encinitas, California, is the lowest regular
bid for said work of any responsible bidder and that said bid is accompanied
by a good and sufficient proposal guaranty which is satisfactory to this City
Council, and this City Council does hereby award the contract for said work to
the above named bidder, at the prices named in the bid of said bidder, All bids
or proposals for said work,,other than said lowest regular bid above accepted,
are hereby rejected.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in
the CARLSBAD JOURNAL, a newspaper of general circulation published and circu-
lated in the City of Carlsbad, a notice of this award. Said notice shall
contain the matters and things required by law and shall be published in the
manner required by law.
PASSED, APPROVZD AND .WPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 15th day of December, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
