RESOLUTION NO, 637
ESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
CITY OF CARLS AUTRQRIZING CERTAIN REPRES NES OF WD CITY OF CARLSBAD, T FQR AND ACCEPT
SURPLUS FEDEFUL PPGOPERTY,
WHEREAS, by Public Law 655, 84th Congress (70 Stat. 4931, the
Federal government has authorized the donation of surplus Federal property
for civil defense purposes; and
WHEREAS, certain conditions are imposed by the Federal Civil Defense
Administration, the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, the
California Disaster Office, and the Surplus Property Division of the State
Department of Education in connection with the acquisition of such property;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to become eligible to acquire
such property;
NOW, TREREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of said
City that JOHN D, SLATER, City Manager, and U. NLAX PALKOWSE=I,
Assistant Civil Defense Director, shall be and are hereby authorized as the
representatives of said City to sign for and accept surplus Federal property
in accordance with the conditions imposed by the above agencies; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of this Council is hereby
authorized and directed to send two (2) certified copies of this Resolution to
the California Disaster Office, for filing with said Disaster Office and with the
State Department of Education; and
IT IS FUPZTMER RESOLVED that all previous resolutions are hereby
superseded and rescinded and the individuals herein listed will be the only
persons authorized to sign for surplus property on behalf of the City of Carisb;
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution of authorization shall
remain in full force and effect until superseded, or rescinded, by resolution
of this Council transmitted in duplicate to the C

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 1960, by the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, State of California, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Grober, Sonneman, Ledgerw ood, McPherson and La Roche
ABSEXT: None
of the City of Carlsbad, Carlsbad, California

certify that the foregoing is a full, true, and correct copy of a resolution
duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, on the 15th day of
