R~OLUTION NO. 675
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ENDORSING THE ACTIVITIES OF THE SAN DIEGUITO AREA SESVERAGE PMNING GROUP AND URGING C QF ALL INTERESTED PERSONS, GANIZATIOMS AND
AGENCI~.
WHEREAS, The North Coastal area of Diego County, including the
City of Carlsbad must solve the serious problem of sewage disposal in order
to promote the health, safety and welfare of a rapidly expanding population;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of San Diego County has conducted
an extensive study of the waste disposal problems of the North Coastal Area
for the purpose of determining the long-range sewerage needs of the area;
and a report known as the North Coastal San Diego County Sewerage Survey
Bas been prepared by A. M. Rawn, Jack Edward McKee and Jean L. Vincenz,
Engineers; and
WHEREAS, no one community can adequately and efficiently solve its
sewage disposal problems alone for the benefit of its property owners,
residents and the public in general; and
WHEREAS, The Sa Dieguito Area Sewerage Planning Group has been
instrumental in fostering progressive sewerage planning for the North Coasta
Area in the past and its activities should be commended and continued;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad hereby:
(a) Expresses its appreciation to the San Diego County Board of
Supervisors for the interest the Board has demonstrated toward planning for
the long-range sewerage needs of the area.
(b) Urges all groups and agencies with an interest in or responsibilitie
associated with the problems of the North Coastal Area of San Diego County
to undertake action programs to achieve progress toward sound, well-plane
sewerage for the North Coastal Area.
(c) Recommends to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors that a

representative committee be chosen from within the local communities, with
the approval of the Board of Supervisors, as an official committee to foster
progressive sewerage planning and, furthermore, that said committee include
members of the San Dieguito Area Sewerage Planning Group or their alternatej
(d) Endorses the activities of the San Dieguito Area Sewerage Planning
Group and urges all persons, groups, organizations and agencies to cooperate
and work together toward the ultimate solution of the mutual sewage disposal
problem.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTEE) at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 2nd day of August, 1960, by the following vote, to wit:
