RESOLUTION NO. 706
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CA'ezLSBAD DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILRVG RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
(Assessment District No. 2-1960)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad did upon the 4th day
of October, 1960, adopt plans and specifications for the construction of
sanitary sewers and appurtenances, and appurtenant work in Valley Street
from Basswood Avenue to Chestnut Avenue; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate
of per diem wages in the locality in which said work is to be performed, and
this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate €or legal holiday
and overtime work in said locality for each craft or type of workman needed to
execute said contract;

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section I, That the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the
locality in which said work is to be performed for each craft or type of
warkman needed to execute the contract for said work is determined to be as
follows, to wit:

OVERTIME: Not less than one and one-half times the above prevailing rates of per diem wages shall be paid for overtime work performed on Sundays and legal holidays, as defined in Section 6700 of the Califomda Government Code, for work performed in excess of eight hours in any one calendar day where

41. accordance with tbe provisions of the Labor Code and in accordance with the regulations of the California Apprenticeship Council, properly indentured apprentices may be employed in the prosecution of the work.
Section 2, Said general prevailing rates shall be specified in the call
for bids for said contract and in the contract itself.
