RESOLUTION NO, 719
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO VACATE A PORTION OF OAK AVENUE IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD BETWEEN CERTAZN DESIG-
NATED POINTSJ AJ3D ESTABLISmG A TIME
AND PLACE OF HEARCNG.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The procedure for the vacation of a portion of Oak Avenue
between certain designated points in the City of Carlsbad, shall. be, and the
same is hereby ordered to be in accordance with the proceedings set forth
in the Street VacMaaAAi=t.of 1941, contained in Sections 8300 to 8374 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. It is hereby resolved and declared to be the intention of
the City Council to vacate a portion of Oak Avenue, more particularly describec
as follows:
That porUon of Oak Avenue between Harding Street and State Highway XI-SD-2-B described as follows:
Lands Subdivision, Tracts 114 and 120, Map 1744, in the City of Carlsbad; thence North 55" 271 East 560.00 feet; thence
South 85& 36$ 27"West 19,904 feet; thence South 55" 27f West
532.78 feet to the beginning of a 10.00 foot radius curve concave Southeasterly and having a central of 90" 00' 00"; thence
Southwesterly along said curve a distance of 15.71 feet to the
POINT OF BEGZNNIWG,
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Carlsbad
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 66, Carlsbad Townsite, Map 775, in the City of Carlsbad: thence North 55" 271 East 140.00 feet; thence South 34* 33% East 10.00 feet) thence South 55* 271 West 130.00 feet to the beginning of a 10.00 foot radius curve concave Northeasterly and having a central angle of 90" 00' OOrt; thence Northwesterly along said curve a distance
of 15.71 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Tract 115, Carlsbad Acre Tract, Map No. 775, in the City of Carlsbad; thence North 55" 27' East 399,95 feet; thence South 25* 17' 33" West 19,904 feet;
thence South 554 27'West 382.73 feet; thence North 34- 33f West
10.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGI"G&
the details of such proposed vacation being more specifically set forh in a
map and plan in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 3, The City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby establisheE
as the date for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting to, the proposed

vacation, at 7:30 olclock P.M. on February 21, 1961, at its regular meeting
place in the City Hall in the City of Carlsbad, 2960 Pi0 Pic0 Drive, Carlsbad,
C alifo ria,
SECTION 4. The City Engineer is hereby ordered to post notices
of street vacation, as herein proposed, conspicuously along the line of the
street or parts thereof, proposed to be vacated, with said posting to be
accomplished at least ten (10) days before the 21st day of February, 1961. SUC.
notices shall be posted not more than three hundred [ 300) feet apart, with at
least three (3) being posted upon the portions of street proposed to be vacated.
The notices as posted shall state the passage of this Resolution of Intention
and shall state the time and place of hearing of persons interested in, or
objecting to the proposed vacationc
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to cause.
this resolution to be published once in the Carlsbad Journal, a weekly news-
paper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of February, 1961, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Guevara, Bierce, Sonneman, McPherson and La Roch
