RESOLUTION NO, 769
RESOLUTION OF THE .CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING
FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARDING
CHANGE OF ZONE CLASSIFICATION OF
CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE.;
CITY OF CAUSBAD FROM ZONE R-P TO
ZONE C-2.
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of July, 1961, the Carlsbad City Plannifig COmmiSS-
ion adopted Resolution No. 216, which is herewith referred to and made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS, on August 15, 1961 a duly advertised public hearing was held as
prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from Zbne R-P (Residential
Professional) to Zbne C-2 (General Cbmercial) of property described a:
A6111 of Blocks 31 and 32; Block 40, Lots 1 through 16; Block 41,
Lots 1 through 16, Carlsbad Townsite, lying on the West and East side of Roosevelt and lying between Walnut and Oak, according to
Tax Assessor's Map 775 of the City of Carlsbad.
WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard all
persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of zone classification,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES HEREBY
DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planning Commission
contained in Resolution No. 216 constitute the findings of the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council certified that
the approval of the proposed change of zone classification is necessary to
carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended.
BE- IT'FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare its intent-
ion to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of zone classifice
tion,
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney is hereby instruct
ed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9060 to effectuate the change
of zone classification.
