RESOLUTION NO. 850
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARDING CHANGE OF ZONE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD FROM ZONE R-1 TO ZONE R-3.
WHERJ3AS, on the 11th day of September, 1962, the Carlsbad City
Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 260, which is herewith referred
to and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on October 2, 1962, a duly advertised public hearing was he1
as prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from Zone R-1 (Residential
to Zone R- 3 (Multiple-family residential) of property described as:
Being portion of Thum Lands, Tract 237, Map 1681 in the City of Carlsbad, being Parcel 3, Book 206, Page 050, of the Assessor's Map of San Diego County, EXCEPTING the 105' in depth with frontage on the westerly side of Adams Street which is to remain R-1;
and
WH-EREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard
all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of zone classifica-
tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planning
Commission contained in Resolution No. 260 constitute the findings of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
certifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone classification is
necessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare
its intention to adopt an ordinaace to effectuate the proposed change of zone
classification.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney is
hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9060 to
effectuate the change of zone classification.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 2nd day of October, 1962, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Guevara, Bierce, McPherson, Neiswender and Hughe
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
