RESOLUTION NO. 852
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARDING RE- CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAW PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD FROM ZONE R-1 TO ZONE R-A.
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of September, 1962, the Carlsbad City
Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 262, which is herewith referred
to and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on October 16, 1962, a duly advertised public hearing was
held as prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from Zone R-1 to
Zone R-A on property described as:
That property known as "East Carlsbad Annexation No. 2. 2'*, in the City of Carlsbad,
and the placing of a potential "M" zone on the following designated parcels
within said R-A zoned area:
Tax Assessors Parcels 6, 7, 8 and 9, Book 209,
Page 020 of the Assessorls Map of San Diego Countyj

WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard
all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed zone classification] and
WHEREAS, on October 23, 1962, the matter was referred back to the
Planning Commission for reconsideration as to the placement of potential "M"
zoning on a portion of the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Plannil
Commission contained in Resolution No. 262 and memorandum dated October 3
1962, constitute the findings of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
certifies that the approval of the zone classification is necessary to carry out
the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declar
its intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed zone classification

BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney
is hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9060
to effectuate this zone classification.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 7th day of November, 1962, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Guevara, Bierce, McPherson, Neiswender and Hugh
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
