RESOLUTION NO. 867
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARD1 NG CHANGE
OF ZONE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD FROM ZONE R-A TO ZONE (2-2.
WHEREAS, on the 11th day of December, 1962, the Cai-lsbad City
Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 276, which is herewith referred
to and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on January 2, 1963, a duly advertised public hearing was held
as prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from Zone R-A (Residentia:
Agricultural) to Zone C-2 (General Commercial] of property described as:
A portion of Lot 2 in Sec. 1, T. 12 S. , R 5 W; being Parcel 1 of Book 155, Page 19 of the Assessor's
Map of San Diego County;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard all
persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of zone classification.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planning
Commission contained in Resolution No. 276 constitute the findings of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
certifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone classification is
necessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare
its intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of zone
cla s s ifi cation.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney is
hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9060 to
effectuate the change of zone classification.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 2nd day of January, 1963, by the following vote, to wit:
