RESOLUTION NO, 882
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF’
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, APPROVING FIRST
SUPPLEMENT TO BASIC AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE VISTA SANITATION DISTRICT AND THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
WHEREAS, it is desired to submit an application for a Federal grant
under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (Public Law 660, 84th Congress)
to assist in financing the construction of the joint sewer system set forth in the
Basic Agreement between the Vista Sanitation District and the City of Carlsbad
dated July 13, 1961; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with regulations governing said application
it is necessary that one of the agencies of the said joint sewer system be
designated to apply for a grant for and on behalf of the joint project; and
WHEREAS, said Basic Agreement does not provide for such designation
and it is therefore proposed that a first supplement to the Basic Agreement,
providing for the designation of the Vista Sanitation District as the agency to
apply for and accept a Federal grant on behalf of the City of Carlsbad as and
for said joint project, be approved and executed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad hereby approves and ratifies the proposed first supplement
to the Basic Agreement between the Vista Sanitation District and the City of
Carlsbad, for acquisition and construction of a joint sewer system, a copy of
said supplement is hereby attached, marked Exhibit “Atr, and made a part hereo.
by reference.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Carlsbad is
authorized and empowered to execute said first supplement to the Basic Agree-
ment on behalf of the City of Carlsbad.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of March, 1963, by the
