RESOLUTION NO. 902
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE FREEWAY AGREE- MENT BETW-EEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
AND THE CITY COVERING U. S. 101 BETWEEN
THE SOUTH CITY LIMITS AND 0.3 MILE NORTH OF CANNON ROAD (Road XI-SD-2-Cbd. ).

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, and the
State of California, acting by and through the Department of Public Works, have
come to a tentative agreement regarding the construction and location of that
certain portion of freeway which apply to the section of Route 2 between the
South City Limits of Carlsbad and 0. 3 miles north of Cannon Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to formalize this agreement by the
execution of a written document, which document has been submitted to the
City for signature by the State of California, acting by and through the Depart-
ment of Public Works;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of
Carlsbad be, and he hereby is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of
the City of Carlsbad that certain agreement with the State of California, acting
by and through the Department of Public Works in regard to the location and
construction of those certain portions of State Highway Route XI-SD-2-Cbd,
which apply to the section of Route 2 between the South City Limits of Carlsbad
and 0.3 miles north of Cannon Road, as said portion appears on the General
Route map adopted September 14, 1949 and July 24, 1957; as said agreement
is submitted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, at a regular meeting held on May 7, 1963, by the following vote, to w
AYES: Councilmen McPherson, Bierce, Guevara and Neiswender.
NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Hughes.
