RESOLUTION NO. 901
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE FREEWAY AGREE-
MENT BETmEN THE STATE OF CALIFOFUXIA,
IN THE VACINITY OF STATE SIGN ROUTE 78
AND EL CAMINO REAL (Road XI-SD-196-CBD1,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, and the
State of California, acting by and through the Department of Public Works, have
come to a tentative agreement regarding the construction and location of that
certain portion of freeway, generally in the vacinity of the intersection of
State Highway 78 and El Camino Real; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to formalize this agreement by the
execution of a written document, which document has been submitted to the
City for signature bythe State of California, acting by and through the Departme
of Public Works;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of
Carlsbad be, and he hereby is authorized and directed to execute dnbehalf of
the City of,.Carlsbad that certain agreement with the State of California, acting
by and through the Department of Public Works in regard to the location and
construction of those certain portions of State Highway Route XI-SD-196-OCN, A
in the County of San Diego between Oceanside and Vista, as said portion of
Route 196 is shown on the General Route Map adopted November 13, 1951; as
said agreement is submitted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, at a regular meeting held on May 7, 1963, by the following vote, to w
AYES: Councilmen McPherson, Bierce, Guevara and Neiswender.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Hughes
