RESOLUTION NO. 912.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF' CARLSBAD DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER
DIEM WAGES,
(Assessment District No. 1-1962)
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Carlsbad did upon the 26th
day of April, 1963, adopt plans and specifications for the construction of
certain street improvements in Chinquapin Avenue between Garfield Street and
the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing
rate of per diem wages in the locality in which said work is to be performed and
this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and
overtime work in said locality for each craft or type of workman needed to ex-
ecute said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the
locality in which said work is to be performed for each craft or type of workman
needed to execute the contract for said work is determined to be as follows, to w.

GVERTDE: Not less than one and one-half (1-112) t-.nes the avow prevailing retes
of per hour wages shall be paid for overtime work performed on Sundays and legal
hclidnys, as defined in Section 6700 of the California Government Code. for work
performed in excess of eight (8) hours in any one (1) calendar Zay where overtime
is permitted by law,
Iri accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and in accordance with
the regulations of the California Apprenticeship council, properly indentured
apprentices may be employed in the prosecution of the work.
Information relative to the number of apprentices, identification, wages,
hours of employment and standards of work conditions shall be obtained from the
Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, who is the Administrative
Officer of the California Apprenticeship Council, 110 State Building, San Francisoo,

Section 2. Said general prevailing rates shall be specified in the call
for bids for said contract and in the contract itself.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on the 4th day of June, 1963,
by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting of the Council
held on said date, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Bierce, Guevara, Neiswender and Hughes.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Hughes
