RESOLUTION NO. 927.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, CHANGING THE NAME OF CANON STREET TO CANYON STREET.
WHEREAS, the name of "Canon" Street within the City of Carlsbad, Calif-
ornia, is similar in pronunciation and spelling, and is likely to be confused with
the name of Cannon Street within the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the general health, safety and
welfare that there not be two streets in the same city having such similar names
and
WHEREAS, there is no provision on most typewriters for the making of a
Spanish ''n'*;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, California, that the name of *'Canon" Street be hereby changed to
11 Canyon" Street.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on August 6, 1963, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen McPherson, Bierce, Guevara, Neiswender and Hughes.
NOES: None
