RESOLUTION NO. 987.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF' CARLSBAD, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 980 BY PLACLNG ON THE BALLOT THE QUESTION OF WHETHER THE OFFICES OF CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER SHALL BE MADE APPOINTIVE.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
SECTION 1. SECTION 2 OF RESOLUTION 980 OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' CARLSBAD AMENDED. Section 2 of Resolution
No. 980 of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Section 2. That said City Council pursuant to its right and authority
so to do, does hereby determine that there shall be and there is hereby
tr
ordered submitted to the qualified electors of said City at said regular
general municipal election the following questions, to wit:
: Shall the electors elect a Mayor and four : YES :
: City Councilmen?
: Shall the offices of City Clerk and City :: YES :
: Treasurer be appointive? 'NO
A cross (f) placed in the voting square after the word "YES" in the
manner hereinbefore provided shall be counted in favor of the adoption of the
question or proposition. A cross (I) placed in the voting square after the word
NO" in the manner hereinbefore provided shall be counted against the adoption it
of the question or proposition.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
