RESOLUTION NO. 997
A RESOLUTIOW OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING
FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARDING
CHANGE OF ZONE CLASSIFICATION OF
CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD FROM ZONE R-2 TO
ZONE R-3.
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of February, 1964, the Carlsbad City Plannini
Zommission adopted Resolution No. 337, which is herewith referred to and
nade a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on March 17, 1964, a duly advertised public hearing was held
LS prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from Zone R-qdo-family
*esidential) to R- 3(Multiple -family residential) of property described as:

* Lot E in Block 1 of Palisades Heights,
Map 1777 in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, more particularly described as Assessor*s Parcel 5, Book 204, Page 231
of the Assessor*s Map of San Diego County;

WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard
111 persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of zone classification
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
EEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planning
Zommission contained in Resolution No. 337 constitute the findings of the City
Zouncil of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
:ertifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone classification is
iecessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare
.ts intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of zone
Aassification.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney is
iereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9060 to
2ffectuate the change of zone classification.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 17th day of March, 1964, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Cmn. McPherson, Bierce and Guevara.
NOES: Cmn. Hughes and Neiswender.
ABSENT: None.
