HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-07-21; City Council; Resolution 1052z 1 1 1 I< 3 1‘ It 16 2c 21 22 22 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 1052 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCII: FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARDING AMENDING SECTION 900 OF 0RDI”CE NO. 9060 TO PERMIT ON-SALE AND OFF SALE BEER USES AS AN ADJUNCT TO ANOTHER BUSINESS ON THE SAME LOT IN R-T ZONES. WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of June, 1964, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 366, which is herewith referred to and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, on the 21st day of July, 1964, at a duly advertised public iearing the City Council of the City of Carlsbad considered the Planning Com- nissionrs Resolution No. 366; and WHEREAS, at said hearing the City Council heard all persons interested n or opposed to the recommendations of the Planning Commission as set forth n Resolution No. 366; NOW, THEREFORE* the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES :EREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the €indings of the ’lanning Commission contained in Resolution No. 366 constitute the findings of le City Council of the City of Carlsbad. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND DECLARED that the City Council ?reby certifies that the approval of the amendment to Ordinance No. 9060, 3 approved by Resolution No. 366 of the Planning Commission is necessary to wry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare 3 intention to adopt an ordinance to affectuate the change in Ordinance No. 160, as set forth in Resolution No. 366 of the Planning Commission. BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending subsection (4) of Section 0 of Ordinance No. 9060 as follows: 11 (4). Any public or private recreation facility such as beaches, bathhouses, boat rides, boat launching and docking facilities, dance halls, games of skill, refreshment facilities , on-sale beer and off-sale beer uses as an adjunct to another business on the same lot, commercial uses accessory to recreation such as sporting goods shops, boat parts shops, boat repair facilities, bait sales, etc., and similar uses only under the following conditions: " PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City f Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on the 21st day of July, 1964, by the llowing vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Atkinson, Dunne, Neiswender, Jardine and Hughes. NOES: None ABSENT: None -2-
