A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD APPROVING
THE ADDI,TtQN OF FRONTAGE ROADS TO
THE FREEPirAY AGREEMENT ON ROUTE 5
(OLD 2) BETWEEN SOUTH CITY LIMITS
AND 0.3 MILE NORTH OF CANNON ROAD,
WHEREAS, the existing freeway agreement dated July 8, 1963, on 11-SD-5
(old 2) between the South City Limits and 0. 3 mile north of Cannon Road is in
need of revision by the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the State must provide access to certain properties south of
Palomar Airport Road; and
WHEREAS, the State proposes to construct two frontage roads to serve
these properties, one from Palomar Airport Road southerly between the A. T.
and S. F. Railroad and the proposed Route 5 which would lie adjacent to the
railroad, and one southerly from Palomar Airport Road easterly of proposed
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the California Highway
Commission be advised that the City Council approves the addition of frontage
roads to the freeway agreement on Route 5 (old 2) between South City Limits and
0. 3 mile north of Cannon Road, all as shown on attached Exhibit ItAr*.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on September 15, 1964, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Atkinson, Neiswender, Jardine and Hughes.
ABSENT: Councilman Dunne
