A RESOLUTION of: T,HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSSAD, APPOINTINC ENGINEER
AND FIXING CQ!fPENS.ATIClX.
(Proposed Assessment Eistrict No. 5-1964)
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad that WAYXE
a LILL be, and he is hereby appointed Engineer of Work for the pra-
osed doing of all necessary engineering work and exercising ala of

RE IT FURTHER WSOJdVED that said I*!AYNE P. LILL shall act as
lngineer of Work and Superintendent of Streets and is hereby
:mployed and appointed to furnish all surveys, original drawings,
naps and blue prints, including any and all such maps necessary and
incident to the rights of way contemplated in the improvement work
iexein involved; all plans and specifications, all inspection work,
3reparation of assessment ralls, assessment diagram and warrant and
my and all other services which shall be required from the Engineer

of Work and/or Superintendent of: Streets under the provisions of the
"Improvement Act of 1911"; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that €or such services that the said
WAYNE P. LfLL acting in his capacity as City Engineer of the City of
Carlsbad shall ~eceive as and for his compensation for the services
SO specified, and as provided by law, the Eollowing compensation,
which compensation shall be payable to the General Fund of the City
of Carlsbad, and shall consist of the following sums of money:
1, Six per cent (6%) of the contract price for engineering
services,
Two per cent (2%) of the contract price for preparation sf
of Assessment, Assessment Roll, Assessment Diagram, and
2,
Warrant
BE IT FURTHER RESQLVED that said sum shall be based upon the
contract price without incidentals; and in the event the proposed
proceedings herein contemplated shall be defeated or for any reason
faif. of consummation, the said NAYNE P.,LILL of the City of Carlsbad
shall not receive my compensation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fees hereinabove provided to be
paid to the said Engineer shall be payable as follows:
1. Three-fourths (3/4ths) of the Engineering fee upon awarding
and signing of contract for the work.
2, The balance of said Engineering fee, and other fees herein
provided COT, upon the confirmation of the Assessment and
delivery of the Warrant,
