RESOLUTION NO. 1088
A RESOLUTHQN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AUTKsORIZING THE CRRLSBAD LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO
MENT GRANT FOR THE COOPERATIVE LIBRARY SYSTEM. -
JOIN IN AND PARTICIPATE IN AND ESTABLISH-
iagter 1.5, Division 20 of the California Education
Code (Sections 27115 - 271'17). provides for a program of grants to
public libraries; and
MKEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Free Library, and the City of
San Diego Free Library, wish to form a Cooperative Library System
for the purpose of improving and extending Public Library Service
and parti ci patiing i n the Pub1 i c Library Development Act of 1963;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad hereby authorizes the Carlsbad Library Board of
Trustees to join in and participate in an establishment grant for
the above said Cooperative System in accordance with Chapter l.52
Division 20 of the Education Code and Title 5, Chapter 2 of the
California Administrative Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the "Plan of Service" dated
December 75, 1964, and signed by all of the Chief Li'brarians of
the above-named libraries, is hereby approved.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City c
Carlsbad, at a regular meeting held on December 15, 1964, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Atkinson, Dunne, Neiswender, Jardine and Hus
