RESOLUTION NO. 1093
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD URGING THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO PROCEED WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COUNTY-WIDE MASTER PLAIY AND PLEDGE COOPERATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SAME.
WHEREAS, the State Recreational Bond Act provides a total
of $750,000,000 for acquisition and development of State-wide
recreation facilities, of which $40,000,000 is to be made available
as State Grants to Counties and/or Cities for acquisition and/or
development of real property for park and beach purposes; and
WHEREAS, this Act states that before a public agency can
apply for a portion of these Funds that it is first necessary that
the County Board of Supervisors cause to have prepared a County-
wide master plan and which shall be adopted by the Board of Super-
visors after completion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad urges the San Diego County Board of Supervisor:
to proceed with a County-wide master plan as set forth in the State
Recreational Bond Act; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Carlsbad pledges
its full cooperation to the County in the development of the master
plan.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council
City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held January 5, 1965, by the
