RESOLUTION NO. 1115
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, REQUESTING THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF FIflANCE TO PREPARE A POPULATION SURVEY AND
MENT BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND THE CITY OF CARLSBAD.
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREE-
1 WHEREAS, it is provided in Section 194.2, Streets and Highwa
Code, that any city whose population has increased substantially
since the last Federal census may apply to the State of California,
Department of Finance to estimate the increase in population; and
WHEREAS, said Section 194.2 provides that the Department of
Finance may make the estimate if in the opinion of the Department
there is available adquate information upon which to base the
estimate; and

i WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to have the Department
of Finance stimate the increase in population of the City of Carlsb
WOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE A ORDER as follows:
That pursuant to the provisions of Sections 194.2, Streets
and Highway Code of the State of California, this City Council
hereby requests the State of California, Department of Finance, to
estimate the increase in population of the City of Carlsbad since
the last Federal census.
That said City shall provide such data as requested by the
Department of Finance.
That said City shall reimburse said Department of Finance
for services performed when the work is completed.
That the Mayor of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized
to execute an agreement with the Department of Finance, which states
the formal terms upon which the population estimate of the City is
to be prepared by the Department of Finance.
That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward without
delay to the Department of Finance a certified copy of this resolu-
