RESOLUTION NO. I 138
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE FOR LEGAL HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME WORK IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, FOR CERTAIN CRAFTS OR TYPES QF WORKMEN,
(Assessment District No. 1 - 1964)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has declared its in-
tention to order certain street improvements, said work or improvements
being more particularly described in Resolution No. 1128, adopted by this City
Council on April 6, 1965; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate
of per diem wages in the locality in which said work is to be performed and
this City Coucnil has ascertained the general prevailing rate for legal holiday
and overtime work in said localiiy for each craft or type of workman needed
to execute said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the lo-
cality in which said work is to be preformed for each craft pr type of workman
needed to execute the contract for said work is determined to be as follows,

OVERTIME: Not less than one and one-half times the above prevailing rates of per diem wages shall be paid for overtime work performed on Sundays and legal hblidays, as defined in Section 6700 of the California Government Code, for work performed in excess of eight hours in any one calendar day where
overtime is permitted by law.
In accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and in accordance with the regulations of the California Apprenticeship Council, properly indentured
apprentices may be employed in the prosecution of the work.
Sedion 2.Said general prevailing rates shall be specified in the call for
bids for said contract and in the contract itself.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on the 20 th day of April, 1965, by
