RESOLUTION NO. 1164
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD TO MAKE CHANGES IN
DECREASE IN COST, AND GIVING NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON.
AD # 2-1964, STATING ESTIMATED INCREASE OR
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as
07 1 ows :
1. That a public hearing will be held on August 3, 1965 in the
ity Council Chambers, 2960 Pi0 Pic0 Dr., Carlsbad, California3 at
:30 P.M. to consider making the following changes in the work pro-
osed to be done, acts, determinations, and provisions made and per-
iitted to be made by the legislative body under and pursuant to the
mprovement Act of 1911, in AD # 2-1964.
A. Amend plans and specifications by deleting therefrom
,tandby gas engine assembly and providing thereon facilities to con-
iect portable generator to operate puinp motors and decrease Contract
)rice bid for pumping station in the amount of $3,130.00.
5. Amend plans and specifications by showing thereon in-
systeirl sholr stallation of Auto-Con control system in lieu of control
Dn plans, construction of stairways and other items as required to
conform to requirements of State Division of Industrial Safety,
changing of access hatch to equivalent Bilk0 model, deletion of pain
ing of interior dry walls; elimination of certificates of concrete
and decrease contract price bid for pumping station in the amount of
$1,075 .OO.
C. Amend plans to revise grade of sewer on Cannon Road,
Carlsbad Boulevard, Shore Drive, easements of public right of way an
Tierra Del Oro from pumping station stub to Station 3 + 00, as shown
on Revision No. 1 to Sheets 2, 3 and 12 of the plans, and increase
total cost of 10 inch sewer in the amount of $2,000.00.
D. Amend assessment District #2 Plat to show Northerly
limits of District North of Cannon Road by showing the westerly line
of the assessment district north of Station 352 + 72.40 to be

102.38'; by showing the length of the line of the district having
1 course of 72" 25' E to be 1241.17'; and by showing the easterly
line of the assessment district North of the northerly line of
Zannon Road to be 600.00'.
E. Amend Section 1 of Resolution 1120 (Resolution of
[ntention, Assessment District # 2-1964) to read as follows:
"SECTION 1. Construction of sewer sanitary sewers
ind appurtenances , sewage pump s tati ons force main system and
ippurtenant work in Carlsbad Boulevard from a point distant 645.01'
iorth of its intersection with Cannon Road to a point distant
l70.42' south of its intersection with Mansano Drive; in Cannon
ioad from its intersection with the westerly right of way of the
ltchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad Company to its intersection
nlith Carlsbad Boulevard; in El Arbol Drive from its intersection wit1
Zannon Road to its intersection with Manzano Drive; in Los Robles
lrive, from its intersection with Cannon Road to its intersection
dith Manzano Drive; in Cerezo Drive from its intersection with El
Arbol Drive to its intersection with Los Robles Drive; in Shore Drivl
from its Northerly intersection with Carlsbad Boulevard to its
Southerly intersection with Carlsbad Boulevard; in Tierra Del Oro
from its Northerly turnaround to its Southerly turnaround; in ease-
nents in public rights of way of Lot 17, Terramar Unit No. l, Map
No. 2696, Lot 3 and Lot 20, Tierra Del Oro9 Map No, 3052, and
portion of Lot H, Rancho Agua Hedionda, Map No. 823; and in Atchison
Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad Company right of way at Railroad Com-
pany engineers station 2225 + 06.6, MP 231 + 1927.8."
It is necessary as a part of the proceedings that the above
describe.d easements be acquired and that the cost of the said
acqui si ti on i ncl uding inci dental expenses thereof be assessed
as a part of the cost of such work improvements. As used herein the
term "work" or "improvement1' shall include acquisition of easements.

incidental expenses, as decreased by changes in the amount of
$2,205.00, is $175,961 .OO.
2. That said proposed changes are particularly described on maps~,
plats, plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications on file
in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Carlsbad.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the adoption
of this resolution and to cause it to be published in the CARLSBAD
JOURNAL, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated
in the City of Carlsbad in the manner provided by law.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADQPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 20th day of July, 1965,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dunnes Neiswender, Atkinson, Hughes and Jardine
