RESOLUTION NO. 1216
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO TO CONSIDER IMPROVEMENT OF EL CAMINO REAL FROM YICINITY OF CHESTNUT
AVENUE TO PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD.
WHEREAS, El Camino Real is a Planned Prime Arterial Road in

WHEREAS, it is highly desirable and practical that El Camino i

I the County's Master Plan of Major Highways; and

WHEREAS, portions of El Camino Real are located within the I I unincorporated County area and also with the City of Carlsbad; and1
Real be reconstructed from a point approximately four hundred feet I j
1 (400') South of Chestnut Avenue to Palomar Airport Road; and
I WHEREAS, San Diego County Road Department has prepared a 1 I
precise plan of said road Southerly to the La Costa development; and/ I WHEREAS, the Ci ty of Carl sbad wi 11 i ngly accepts i ts responsi -
bility to pay its proportionate share of said reconstruction; i
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad that it does hereby request the County of San Diego
to consider a cooperative project for the reconstruction of

I I El Camino Real from the vicinity of Chestnut Ayenue to Palomar
Airport Road. I
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City I !
of Carlsbad at an adjourned regular meeting held on January 25,
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Dunne, Neiswender and Hughes.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmen Atkinson and Jardine.
