RESOLUTION NO. 1238
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
MENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AND DIVISION OF LIBRARIES DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD.
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, APPROVING AGREE-
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
as follows:
1. The City of Carlsbad does hereby accept the provisions QF
and authorize the execution of that certain document entitled
"AGREEMENT FOR LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION GRANT:' to be entered into betwee
the City of Carlsbad, a municipal corporation, and the State Librari
of the State of California, pursuant to the provisions of the Librar
Services Act, Public Law 597, 84th Congress, as amended by Public
Law 896, 84th Congress; Public Law 86-679; Public Law 87-688; and
Public Law 88-269; and as renamed the Library Services and Construc-
tion Act (20 U.S.C. chap. 160).
2. Said Agreement involves a grant in the sum of ONE HUNDRED
FIVE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($105,600.00), and involves a
project known as: Project No. 66-7 - Construction of the Carlsbad
City Library Headquarters.
3. The Vice Mayor of the City of Carlsbad, JOHN F. HUGHES, is
hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the City of Ca*-lsbad to
execute said Agreement.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held March 1 ? 7966, by the followl'n
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dunne, Neiswender, Hughes and Jardine.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Atkinson.
