RESOLUTION NO. 1249
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of February, 1966, the City Council i
of the City of Carlsbad adopted Resolution No. 1223, stating its

vacation and date of hearing in accordance with the provisions of
i Section 8322 of the Streets and Highway Code of the State of Califor-j

WHEREAS, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on March 15, 1966, the City i i
I Council of the City of Carlsbad held a hearing at its regular meeting!
place in the City of Carlsbad at 2960 Pi0 Pic0 Drive; and I I WHEREAS, all persons who were interested in or opposed to the
street vacation were heard.
WHEREAS, the City Council found from all the evidence submitted
that the hereinafter described lands are unnecessary for present or
prospective public street purposes; I

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

I i That the following described lands shall be, and are hereby/
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, FINDING A PORTION
OF VALLEY STREET UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIYE PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES;
VACATING SUCH PORTION OF VALLEY STREET;
AND ORDERING CLERK TO RECORD A CERTIFIED COPY HEREOF WITH THE COUNTY RECORDER OF
SAN DIEGO COUNTY.

That portion of Valley Street common to Tracts 246, 247
and 251, Thum Lands, in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof No. 1681, filed in the Office of the Recorder of said County; the centerline of that portion of Yalley Street
60 feet wide, to be vacated is more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Magnolia Avenue and Valley Street as shown on Record 2

of Survey Map 4891, filed in the Office of the Recorder of said San Diego County; thence Southerly along the
centerline of Valley Street, South 28" 39' East 30.00 feet to a point on the Southerly right of way line of Magnolia Avenue, said point also being the TRUE POINT
OF BEGINNING; thence Southerly along the centerline of said Valley Street to be vacated South 28" 39' East 602.00 feet to a point on the Northerly line of Thum Lands, Tract 247, according to said Map 1681 .

2. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to cause a certified
copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the County
