RESOLUTION NO. 1271
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD TENTATIVELY
WITH CERTAIN CHANGES, AND REFERRING CHANGES TO PLANNING COMMISSION FOR REPORT.
APPROVING AND ADOPTING GENERAL PLAN
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
1s follows:
1. That certain General Plan, including map and text pre-
lared by Daniel, Mann, Johnson and Mendenhall entitled "The General
llan" is hereby tentatively approved and adopted as to all matters
2xcept for the following proposed changes and requests:
A. Tamarack Avenue shall be a major street Westerly
of its intersection with Highland Drives and shall be a
local street Easterly of its intersection with Highland
Dri ve.
B. The City Council hereby instracts the Planning
Commission to study a1 ternate routes to rep1 ace Tamarack
Avenue from Highland Drive Easterly to El Camino Real.
C. The City Council further instructs the Planning
Commission that in their study of alternate routes to
replace Tamarack Avenue from Highland Drive Easterly to
€1 Camino Real they consider any affect a major street
might have upon a school site.
D. That the General Plan be amended to reflect that
in the future any commercial uses that may be deemed to
be proper along Pi0 Pic0 Drives be subject to an approved
precise plan of the proposed improvements and uses.
I 2. Ihe herein stated changes and requests are hereby referre
to the Planning Commission for consideration and report back to the
City Counci 1
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of May, 1966,
