It 1: 1E 1: 2c 21 22 22 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 i A sp, RESOLUTION NO. 1280 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECITIMG THE FACT OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF CARLSBAD ON THE 28th DAY OF JUNE, 1966, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW. ial municipal election was held and conducted in the Cit: of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, on Tuesday, the 28th day of June, 1966, as required by law; Notice of said election was duly and regularly given in time, form and manner as provided by law; that voting precincts were pro- perly established; that election officers were appointed and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat, received and canvassed and the returns made and de- clared in time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of e'lec- tions in cities; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, ZALIFQRNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOCU'S: SECTION 1. That there were 5 voting precincts established for the purpose of holding said election consisting of consolidations if the regular election precincts in the City of Carlsbad as esta- ilished for the holdi of state and county elections. SECTION 2. That said special municipal election was held for the purpose of electing the following officers of said City as re- juired by the laws relating to cities in the State of California, to tit: One Member of the City Council of unexpired term. SECTION 3. That the names of persons voted for at said !lection for Member of the City Council of said City are as follows: 4 I' 3 I 1 4 ! Worthi ng ; That the number of votes given at each precinct and the number of votes given in the City to each of such persons above named for the respective office for which said persons were candidates were listed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein. SECTION 4. The City Council does declare and determine that: Ralph E. Worthing was elected as Member of the City Council of said City for the unexpired term. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall immediately make and, upon compliance by the person elected with the provisions of Sectior 11565 and Section 11568 of the Elections Code of the State of Calif- ornia, shall deliver to such person so elected a Certificate of Election signed by her and fuly authenticated; that she shall also administer to such person elected, the Oath of Office prescribed in the State Constitution of the State of Cal fornia and shall have him subscribe thereto and file the same in her office. Whereupon, said person so elected shall be inducted into the respective office to which he has been elected. SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at whic the same is passed and adopted.
