RESOLUTION NO. 1396
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFOREaIA
P ROVEMENT ORDERED BY RESOL UT ION NO. 1382 OF SAID CITY COUNCIL.
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WORK OR IM-
(Assessment District No. 2-1965) (Jefferson Street, et al)
WHEREAS, this City Council on the 21st day of February, 1967, 7

duly adopted Resolution No. 1382 ordering the following work to be
done or improvement to be made, to wit, all that certain
improvement described in Resolution No. 1348, duly adopted by this
work or
WHEREAS, pursuant to and in accordance with said Resolution No.
1382, a notice inviting sealed bids or proposals for doing said work
City Council on the 20th day of December, 7966; and I1

posals for said work, which were delivered to the City Clerk, were
publicly opened, examined and declared by the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk submitted her report of the result of
or improvement was duly published and posted; and 14 I1
said bidding to the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on March 21,
1967, the regular meeting of the City Council next succeeding the
date of the opening of the bids; and
WHEREAS, this City Council finds that said resolutions were duly

WHEREAS, at the hour of 2:OO o'clock P.M. March 20, 1967, at
the Council Chambers of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

dopted and contained the matters and things required by law and
hat all notices required by law have been duly gtve

NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:

the bid of M. L. CHILCOTE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, San Diego, Californ
is the lowest regular bid for said work of any responsible bidder
and that said bid is accompanied by a good sufficient proposal
guaranty which is satisfactory to this City Council, and this City
Council does hereby award the contract for said work to the above
named bidder, at the prices named in the bid of said bidder. All
bids or proposals for said work, other than said lowest regular
bid above accepted, are hereby rejected.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
twice in the CARLSBAD JOURNAL, a newspaper of general circulation
published and circulated in the City of Carlsbad, a notice of this
award.

Said notice shall contain the matters and things required
