A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CRRLSBAD AIJTHORIZING AXD DIRECTING EXEC!J’I’ION OF
CONTRACT REGAr?,DING BIAIYTENANCE OF TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS.
ouncil of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve
that it doe olre that c tain contract nupbered 1267-133 .rsith
CASEVCf for maintenance of traffic controllers, a copy of which con-
tract is attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute said
contract on behalf of the City,
APPqCVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council held February 6
to wit:

Subject: Maintenance of Traffic Controllers

On December 15, 1967 we completed the yearly overhaul and final quarterly inspection of the traffic control- lers at the intersections of Elm & Carlsbad, Grand & Carlsbad, Elm & Harding, Elm & State, and at Elm & Grand.

After a review of our contract for 1967 we are pleased to offer our quotation of Nine Hundred Fifty-Five
Dollars------------------------------------ ($955.00) for the renewil of a one-year's maintenance service on the above controllers for the period of January 1, 1968 through December 31, 1968. This will consist of four periodic inspections, annual overhaul, and emergency service calls limited to one per month.
Quarterly inspections will include cleaning, burnish- ing contacts, checking component parts, minor parts replacement as required, and timing and adjustment of
Yearly overhaul will consist of inspecting a1 1 components, relays, timing circuits, resistors, capacitors, sliding contacts, switches and controls, replacement of worn and defective parts, aligning and resetting.
Major parts such as relays, controls and switches will be billed as additions to the contract price. Emergency service calls in excess of those stated above will be bi1.led on a time-and-material basis. This method has ..------- proved more satisfactory and less expensive to the cus-
