RESOLUTION NO. 15
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD REQUESTING COMPREHENSIVE STUDY OF DEVELOPMENT OF PALOMAR AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, Palomar Airport is strategically located in North San
Diego County and immediately contiguous to the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, Palomar Airport will play an increasingly import
role in private and commercial aviation development in the future;
s in the joint interest of San D go County and
the City of Carlsbad that future development of sa afrport be
accomplished only after thorough and comprehensive study of the
effect of such development on the environment and future growth
paterns of the City and County including, but not limited to, proper
zoning of approach and takeoff areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County of San Diego
and the City of Carlsbad undertake a joint study of the feasibility,
necessity and operational control of an expanded Palomar Airport
operation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Carlsbad hereby re-
quests it be included in any studies made of Palomar Airport either
by the County of San Diego or the Federal Aviation Administration.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad on May 7, 1968, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Cmn. Neiswender, McComas, Dunne, Jardine and Castro.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Non
