RESOLUTION NO. 1543
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY-OF CARLSBAD, ADOPTING THE SALARY PLAN AND WORK CONDITIONS FOR
FISCAL YEAR. THE CITY OF CARLSBAD FOR THE 1968-69
WHEREAS, the City Council did on June 26, 1968, and July 16,
1968, hold discussion and give approval to the standard rates of pay
iosition titles, hours of work and holidays for all city employees;
NOM, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
loes resolve as follows:
1. The following standard rates, with step increases set
'orth thereafter, described in Exhibit ''A", attached hereto and made
i part hereof, are hereby established as the salary plan for the
:i ty of Carlsbad.
The normal eligibility for salary step increase shall be
ubject to meritorious service at Step A, six months at Step B, one
ear at Step C and one year at Step D.
These normal step increases shall be granted upon recommenda-
ion of the Department Head and approval of the City Manager,
ouble step increases or step increases in less than the normal time
f service, may be permitted for exceptional work performance or
nusual employment conditions.
2. The Standard Rates, Position Titles and Work Conditions,
escribed in Exhibit I'B", attached hereto and made a part hereof, are
ereby adopted for the 1968-69 fiscal year.

Compensation of the City Clerk is fixed by ordinance as
200.00 per month, and for the City Treasurer $75.00 per month.

sation of the City Manager is hereby set at $1 ,378.1'6 per month , as
of July 1, 1968, and further in accordance with Section 2.39 it shal'
be the duty of the City Manager to devote his entire time to the
duties of his office in the interests of the city.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on the 28th day of August,
1968, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen, Neiswender, McComas, Dunne, Jardine and Cast
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None
