RESOLUTION NO. 1557
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNI AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WORK OR IMPROVEMEN RDERED BY RESOLUTION NO. 1548 OF SAID CITY COUNCIL.'
(Assessment District No. 2-1966) (Park Drive, et al)
WHEREAS, this City Council duly adopted Resolution No. 1548
ordering the following work to be done or improvement to be made,
to wit, all that certain work or improvement described in Resolu-
tion No. 1539, duly adopted by this City Council on the 6th day
of August, 1968; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to and in accordance with said Resolution
No. 1548, a notice inviting sealed bids or proposals for doing
said work or improvement was duly published and posted; and
WHEREAS, at the hour of 2:OQ o'clock P.M., September 27, 1968,
at the Council Chambers of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, 1200 Elm Avenue, Carlsbad, California, all sealed bids
or proposals for said work, which were delivered to the City Clerk,
were publicly opened, examined and declared by the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk submitted her report of the result of
said bidding to the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on
October 1, 1968, the regular meeting of the City Council next suc-
ceeding the date of the opening of the bids; and
WHEREAS, this City Council finds that said resolutions were
duly adopted and contained the matters and things required by law
and that all notices required by law have been duly given and all
hearings required by law duly held and that each and every step in
the proceedings prior to and including the opening of said bids
has been duly and regularly taken and that this City Council has
duly acquired jurisdiction;

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLYE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That this City Council does hereby determine that
the bid of CARLSBAD PIPELTNES, INC.
is the lowest regular bid for said work of any responsible bidder
and that said bid is accompanied by a good sufficient proposal

guaranty which is satisfactory to this City Council, and this City
Council does hereby award the contract for said work to the above
named bidder, at the prices named in the bid of said bidder. All
bids or proposals for said work, other than said lowest regular bid
above accepted, are hereby rejected.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
twice in the CARLSBAD JOURNAL, a newspaper of general circulation
published and circulated in the City of Carlsbad, a notice of this
award. Said notice shall contain the matters and things required
by law and shall be published in the manner required by law.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 1st day of October, 1968, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Neiswender, McComas, Dunne, Jardine and Cas tro.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
