HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-10-16; City Council; Resolution 15660 7 8 9 10 13. 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 0 BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 7037 establishes a procedure for the creation of underground utility districts and requires as the initial step in such procedure the holding of a public hearing to ascertain whether public health, safety, or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supply- ing electric, communication, or similar or associated service in any such district; and - WHEREAS, it has been recommended that such an underground utility district, hereinafter called the District, be formed on State Street from 25 feet Southerly of the Southerly right of way line of Elm Avenue to a point 150 feet Southerly of Beech Avenue and extending 25 feet on each side of State Street. NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved as follows: 1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held I- by the Council of the City of Carlsbad on November 6, 1968, at the hour of 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Carlsbad, CaTifornia, to ascertain whether the public health, safety or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar associated service in the District hereinabove described. 2. At such hearing all persons interested shall be given an opportunity to be heard. Said hearing may be continued from time to time as may be determined by the City Council. I RESOLUTION NO. 1566 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE UHETHER PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, OR WELFARE REQUIRES THE FORMATION OF AN UNDE:RGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT UN STATE STREET FROM 25 FEET SOUTHERLY OF THE SOUTHERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF ELM AYENUE TO A DING 25 FEET ON EACH SIDE OF STATE STREET. The City Clerk shall notify all affected property owners as shown on the last equalized assessment roll and utilities concerned of the time and place of such hearing by mailing a copy of this resolution to such property owners and utilities concerned at least ten (70) days prior to the date thereof. 4. The area proposed to be included in the District is shown ' upon that certain map entitled "Ma District No. l", dated October 14, office of the City Clerk of the Cit 10 Adopted by the Council of the of October, 1968, by the following vote: 12 AYES: Councilmen Neiswender, McComas, Dunne, Jardine and 13 Castro. 14 NOES: None. 15 ABSENT: None. 16 _. 18 ATTEST: 20 23
