HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-05-05; City Council; Resolution 1721I 1: 1: It lf It 2c 24 27 29 30 31 32 A RESOLUTI RESOLUTION NO. 1721 N OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD INFORMING STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY'S INTENTION TO COMBINE THE TOPICS FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEARS 1969-70 AND 1970-71 WHEREAS, the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1968 established a new program to expend Federal funds for an Urban Traffic Operations Program to increase capacity and safety, henceforth known as TOPICS; WHEREAS, the State Department of Public Works has been appointed to administer the Federal TOPICS program; WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad's share of the State's 1969-70 allocation is in amount of $13,366; WHEREAS, the City's apportionment must be expended, or accumulated and combined with another fiscal year's apportionment; WHEREAS, the City has not completed its areawide TOPICS plan and study report as required by the Federal Aid Highway Act; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Carlsbad hereby declares its intention to prepare said TOPICS report from its 1969-70 apportionment of TOPICS funds and to accumulate any excess funds for combination with the following year's apportion- ment in order to accomplish a more substantial project. i j I II I I I I I 21 ! 31 t i I 5 6 4i 71 81 91 I 1 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 5th day of May, 1970, by the following vote, to wit: AYES : Councilman Dunne, McComas, Jardine, Castro and Lewi NOES : None.
