RESOLUTION No, 1833
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD REQUESTING TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND OVER- PASS WIDENING AT VISTA WAY AND EL
CAMINO REAL.
WHEREAS, there exists a traffic bottleneck at the ,nterG
change of Vista Way and El Camino Real between Carlsbad and Ocear
side, and
WHEREAS, the accident record at said interchange is un-
satisfactory, and
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways has pending a project tc
install signals at said location which project has been placed on
it list of priorities to be considered for construction when fund
are available, and
WHEREAS, presently at peak traffic times the CHP must pro-
vide two traffic officers to control traffic at said interchange,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad does hereby urge: the Division of Highways to
take immediate and appropriate action to e adits installation of
appropriate signals at said interchange and to promptly widen the
bridge at said overpass to Four (4) lan , together with adequate
on and off ramps.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council held
