RESOLUTION NO. 1845
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL COMMENDING THE CARLSBAD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE REGARDING THE SPRING HOLIDAY CELEBRATION.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and its members
and friends have devoted substantial community leadership and
effort in bringing to the City of Carlsbad, its residents and
visitors, a most successful Spring Holiday Celebration for the
Spring of 1971, and;
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Chamber of Comrcierce led the effort in
maki ng the Spri ng fes ti vi ties an outs tandi ng exampl e of communi ty
1 eaders hi p, and;
WHEREAS, this year's Spring Holiday Celebration brought
great credit to the community of Carlsbad and its citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad does hereby commend and thank the Carlsbad Chatx-
ber of Commerce and all its members and friends who participated
and worked in the making of a highly successful Spring Holiday
Celebration this year, and we do further encourage the continua-
tion of this fine community event in future years.
PASSED, APROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held May 4, 1971 , by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen McComas , Jardine, Castro and Lewis.
NOES : None.
ABSENT: Councilman Dunne
