HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-06-01; City Council; Resolution 1864I 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 .27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 1864 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY AND STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO CONDUCT POPULATION ESTIMATE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held June 1 , 1971, considered the authorization of the City Manager to execute an agreement with the State of California, Department of Finance, for the purpose of conducting a "Population Estimate." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad that the City Council does hereby approve said authorization for the -following reasons: 1. That the current population estimate of the City of Carlsbad exceeds the last estimate by the State of California by at least 300 persons; 2. That the Gas Tax Funds gained by the City would exceed the cost of the "Population Estimate"; 3. That there is a need to update census information that is necessary for certain City projects. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held June 1 , 1971, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilman Dunne, McComas, Jardine, Castro and Lewis. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: xx xx xx xx
