I 51 6l 7i I 8i 91 1 10 I I RESOLUTION NO. 1875 to revise its holiday schedule and, WHEREAS, said revision is the result of "meet and confer'' sessions between employees' representatives and the City Mana- ger as provided for in the Government Code and, I WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to make said changes in A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1727 AND PLOYEES CHANGING THE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR CITY EM- 24 I 251 ~ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad wishes If an employee is required to work on any of the above holi- days, such employee shall be paid at the employee's regular hourly 25 1 281 291 I 301 31 I 321 1 i 11 Members of the Fire Department who are required to be on duty for 24-hour periods shall be paid at the employee's regular hourly rate of pay in lieu of holidays for the same hours as is commen- surate with the holiday time hereby granted to other employees. Members of the Police Department will receive holiday pay even though it,does not fall on their assigned shift (except 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 concurrence with "Memorandum of Understanding'' heretofore approved by the City Council , NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that Rule X, Section 13 of the Personnel Rules and Regulations, Resolution No. 1727, is revised to read as follows: Holidays: Municipal offices shall be closed on the following days which are designated as legal holidays for all employees in the City Service: New Year's Day, Lincoln's Birthday, Wash- ington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Admission Day, Veterans' Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. When a public holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed. When the public holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday will be observed. i! 11 21 3j I I !I I AYES: Cmn.
