HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-08-03; City Council; Resolution 1884RESOLUTION NO. 1884 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD APPROVING THE PROPOSED FEDERAL AID URBAN AREA PORTION OF SAN DIEGO METROPOLITAN URBAN STREET SYSTEM FOR THE OCEANSIDE-CARLSBAD AREA. WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Act of 1970 directed the estab- lishment of a Federal Aid Urban System for the San Diego Metro- politan Area, and WHEREAS, the Federal Legislation provided that routes on the Urban System shall be selected by appropriate local officials and the State Highway Department in cooperation with each other, and WHEREAS, the San Diego Comprehensive Planning Organization (CF and the local agencies of Metropolitan San Diego in cooperation with the Division of Highways have selected a proposed Federal Aid Urban System within the 1970 Bureau of Census Urbanization Limits conforming to the instructions of the Federal Highway Administration, and WHEREAS, the proposed routes of Federal Aid Urban Systems for the San Diego Metropolitan Area conform to the Federal functional classification system of the region, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Carlsbad approves the proposed Federal Aid Urban System selected for the Carlsbad portion of the San Diego Metropolitan Area and subsequent changes in other Federal Aid Systems and recommends them for submission to the Federal Highway Administration by the California Division of Highways. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 3rd day of August, 1971, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Cmn. Dunne, McComas, Jardine, Castro and Lewis. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: (SEAL )J Exhibit 1
