RESOLUTION NO. 1908
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD SETTING REFUSE COLLECTION REQUIREMENTS.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does resolve as
follows:
1. This Resolution sets various requirements for the collec-
tion of refuse within the City of Carlsbad and shall constitute a
part of the Agreement for refuse collection between the City and
IdcDougal Sanitation, Inc., and any other refuse collectors who
collect refuse within the City pursuant to contract with the City.
2. Residential collection shall be two times per calendar
week and the rate to be charged therefor shall be $2.75 per month.
3. Commercial bins shall be collected at least once per week
and oftener by agreement with the customer. The rate of charge fo
collection of commercial bins shall be as follows:

4. In regard to special pick-ups of refuse the following
rates shall apply:
A. One dump truck with driver-$15.00 per hour, assessed
portal to portal plus $5.00 per hour for one extra man,
plus dump charges of $2.50 per dump. Minimum charge shai
be for one hour plus a dump charge of $2.50.

C. Special pick-ups of items such as water heaters,
B. Drag-on box service shall be charged at the rate of
$45.00 per box, with a dump charge of $5.00 per dump.
Demurage charges on drag-on boxes shall be $1.50 per day
in the event the drag-on box is not dumped a minimum of

pounds, and a loaded weight of no greater than 60 pounds. Collecto

7. Collector shall provide each of his customers with a
written set of trash collection rules and rates.
8. No person shall engage in the refuse collection business
within the City limits of the City of Carlsbad without a contract
therefore from the City.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, Cali , held on the 19th
day of October, 1971, by the following vote, to wit:
