Peachy Reese COMMISSION REGARDING CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R-P to The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve as follows: 1. Appellant Fran ces M. Peachy Reese has appealed to the City Council the decision of the Planning Commission as set forth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 724. 2. All steps required by law in connection with said application and appeal have been satisfied. 3. Said appeal is hereby denied for the following reasons: (a) The requested C-M zone change would be incompatible with the overall uses and present zoning of the downtown surrounding area, and (b) The r-equested C-M zone change would conflict with pending proposed modifications to the zoning of the downtown area, and many property owners in the vicinity of the proposed zone change do not support the requested C-M zone. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held February 1, 1972, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Dunne, McComas, Jardine, Castro and Lewis.
