HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-03-07; City Council; Resolution 1962RESOLUTION NO. 96 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE MINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF A CERTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT AND MAKING FINDINGS RELATING THERETO CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DETER- The City Council of the City of Car?sbad, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: SECTION 1. That the public interest and necessity demand the acquisition and construction by said City of a certain municipal improvement , to-wit: Shall the City of Carlsbad incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of $1,000,000 for the acquisition and construction by said City of a certain municipal improvement, to-wit: the acquisition and development of neighborhood and community parks for park and recreational purposes , including the construction of buildings and facilities, the acquisition of land, equipment and other property necessary for any of the foregoing? SECTION 2. That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is $1 , 000 , 000. That said municipal improvement requires an expenditure greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual tax levy and is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of said City. ADAMS, City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad, California, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said City Council duly held on the 7th day of March, 1972, and that it was so adopted by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN DUNNE, MC COMAS, JARDINE, CASTRO AND LEWIS.
