HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-03-07; City Council; Resolution 1966'* RESOLUTION NO. 1966 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE IZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FIU3 A WRITTEN ARGUMENT FOR A CITY MEASURE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHOR- WHEREAS, an election is to be held in the City of Carlsbad on June 6, 1972, at which there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said City the following City me as ure : Shall the City of Carlsbad incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of . $l,QOO,OOQ for the acquisition and construction by said City of a certain municipal improvement, to-wit: the acquisition and development of neighborhood and community parks for park and recreational purposes, including the construction of buildings and facilities, the acquisition of land, equipment and other property necessary for any of the foregoing? NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: SECTION 1. That this City Council, being the legis- lative body of said City, hereby authorizes David M. Dunne John E. Jardine I11 Joe A. Castro Glenn E. McComas Claude A. Lewis being all of the members of said body, to file a written argu- ment for the City measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elec- tions Code of the State of California and to change said - 1- argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said City measure may be submitted to said Clerk.
