(John Grant - Std. Oil) WHEREAS, on the 14th day of March, 1972, the Car sbad City Planning Commission adopted Resolution Nos, 760 and 764, which are herewith referred to and Made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, on April 4, 1972, a duly advertised public hearing was held as prescribed by law to consider a Change of Zone from R-1 and R-3 to C-2 (General Commercial) Zone, and Adoption of Specific Plan, including one (1) service station, on property described as: That portion of Tract No. 117 of Carlsbad Lands in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof, No. 1661, filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, March 1, 1915, more particularly described in application on file in the Office of the City Clerk. WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad received all recommendations and heard all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of zone and Specifi P1 an. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planni Commission contained in Resolution Nos. 760 and 764 constitute the findings of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad. BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council certifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone classifi cation and the adoption of the Specific Plan is necessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060, as amended. xx xx . i 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby declare its intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of zone classification. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of April, 1972, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Cmn. Dunne, McComas, Jardine, Castro and Lewis.
