RESOLUTION NO. 1950
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
GRANTING APPEAL OF DECISION OF PLANNING COMMISSION RE-
GARDING CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R-1 TO RD-M AND ADOPTION OF A
SPECIFIC PLAN ON PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST QUADRANT OF TAMARACK AVENUF AND JFFFFRSON STRFFT FOR A 60 - IlNTT APART -
MENT COMPLEX (Cortez Development Co.)

1. Appellant CORTEZ DEVELOPMENT COMPANY appealed to
the City Council the action of the Planning Commission regarding
his herein mentioned application - Planning Commission Resolution
No. 754
2. All steps required by law in connection with said applica-
tion and appeal have been complied with.
3. Said appeal and application are granted and the following
action in regard thereto is taken:
4. In the o’pinion of the City Council the following facts
and reasons make the granting of said application necessary to
carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended:
1. It would be verv difficult to develor, the r,roPertv
under R-1 zoning.
2. The proposed reclassification is in conformance with
the City of Carlsbad General Plan.
3. The proposed residential development will not be detri mental to the neiqhborhood nor to the health, welfare or safety of
of the gencral public. 5. Said action regarding said application is made subject to
